NIGER DELTA DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION (NDDC) 2022/2023 FOREIGN POST GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP FOR NIGERIANS

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is launching a foreign postgraduate scholarship program as part of its human resource development initiatives in order to provide Niger Delta residents with the training and skills they need to effectively participate in the current administration’s local content program and compete internationally in a variety of professional disciplines. The program is for candidates who meet the requirements and have earned applicable Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees from reputable universities in one of the following professional disciplines:
- Agricultural Sciences
- Engineering
- Environmental Sciences
- Geosciences
- Information Technology
- Law
- Management Sciences
- Medicine
- Architecture
- Hospitality Management
Eligibilty
Candidates must have the following qualifications:
- For those looking to enroll in a master’s program, a first degree with at least a second class (lower division) is required.
- Candidates must have been accepted into a postgraduate program in one of the aforementioned subjects at a foreign university.
- Candidates who are currently enrolled in universities abroad are ineligible to apply.
- Written assurance of the applicant’s good behavior from one of the guarantors’ Community/Clan members listed below:
- A member of the National Assembly or a state assembly.
- LGA Chairman.
- A traditional first-class ruler.
- Judge of the High Court.
- People with a history of criminal activity or cult involvement will not be taken into consideration.
- Candidates must have finished the National Youth Service Corps, which is required (NYSC).
- Each and every applicant MUST be from the Niger Delta.
Application Methodology
1. Applications must be submitted online at www.nddc.gov.ng, together with the accompanying attachments:
- A current passport photo.
- Letter of Identification from Local Government.
- From a reputable overseas university, a letter of admission for postgraduate study. degrees from accredited universities that are relevant.
- Discharge/Exemption Certificate from NYSC.
2. A registration number will be immediately provided to an application that has been successfully completed.
3. For easy reference, print a paper copy of the online-generated acknowledgement.
